Digiprint was founded in 2003 by Lefteris Soumpasis, building on his family’s printing and design reproduction business founded in the ‘80s. Digiprint is located in the center of Athens. It is active in large format digital printing, large format billboard advertising and 3D printing.

The company’s accumulated knowledge in regards to printing advertising signage, especially in large sizes, has helped make Digiprint one of the most prominent companies in the industry over the last 20 years. Offering high-quality services at competitive prices and fast delivery times, the company ensures a top level of service, satisfying even the most demanding customers.

The company was in search of a reliable UV Led printer which had the capability to take on daily, non-repetitive printing orders requiring a roll width of up to 160cm and fulfilling smaller print runs up to a few square meters, compared to the 3.2m and 5m machines that it already had.

A major challenge was the consistency of print quality from multiple latex machines, accurately rendering color, and reducing costs resulting from the rather large amount of material waste.

As multiple machines took up a significant amount of space, we needed a printer with low maintenance costs, faster printing speed and a compact design.

The Canon Colorado M was installed by Canon’s authorized partner, Chameleon Graphics, in early September 2023. Within 2 months, the positive impact of the new printer’s production capabilities was undeniable. As a result of the success of the first Canon Colorado M, Digiprint integrated another Canon Colorado into its production unit in 2024.

Catalytic factors which influenced the selection included:

- glossy printing without the need for any lamination,
- the trust we had in Chameleon Graphics, Canon’s authorized partner and technical support provider.

With the installation of Canon Colorado M printers, Digiprint enjoys a superior range of applications.

More specifically:

• flexibility in printing large-format graphics in matte, glossy or mixed matte/glossy, using a variety of materials, such as structured, transparent, colored and reflective media, vinyl stickers and banners,
• glossy printing without any need for lamination,
• saving valuable time as a result of the printer’s automatic, continuous feeding capabilities with no need to change the materials being used as the printer supports 2x100 meter rolls,
• problem free printing for large, multi-square meter applications.
